The animation below, entitled “Join Together,” based on a photograph by Debra Pearlman, is included in Take One Action, an exhibition coordinated by Art At A Time Like This, featuring digital mobile trucks that circulate through the streets of New York City displaying works of art and messages from eleven featured artists, as part of the national campaign Fall Of Freedom, with events coordinated around the country. In 2024 Debra produced a 10’ x 50’ banner and accompanying poster for Powerhouse Arts and Mana Contemporary, in partnership with Headcount and Workers Circle and their get-out-the-vote initiative, Project 270. The image is derived from a film photograph of two girls on the street by an open fire hydrant on a hot summer day. The banner was on display from 10/9/24 through Election Day 2024 at Powerhouse Arts, and the poster, published by Mana Contemporary, was available as a free download through Election Day.
